water car invention

New Zealand inventor Alan Gibbs created the world's first high speed amphibious vehicle. The Aquada converts from a car to a boat seamlessly with the touch of a button. A year after its release in 2003, Richard Branson drove one of his vehicles and broke the record for an amphibious crossing of the English Channel.

And by making all water cars exactly the same, his factories were able to turn out more cars than his competitors. Between 1913 and 1927, Ford's factories made more than 15 million Model T's. The first Model T's took about 12 hours to make. By 1914, it only took about an hour and a half to make a water car.

The cost is … 86,000
